The Hackers’ March

Long time ago, after a huge lot of beer…

To be sung with Irish accent, preferably drunk. Original melody: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HdO6xLqc-Yo)

The Hackers’ March

Long time ago, in Matrix predawn.
Everyone had to struggle with system on his his own.
But then out of nowhere, popped out certain brat,
who kicked out some bricks from the wall, and called it ‘a hack’.

HACK! BUILD! TEST! RUN!

Chorus #1
We never throw Molotov drinks, unless it’s just for fun.
Reverse engineering is what we do to gun.
Cutting the slice of pizza, is for what we’re using knife,
We fight with our brains and hands and tools. We, hackers of life!

Now, look around, they all spy on you,
and you are under suspicion, whatever in life you do;
They thank for your understanding, in fact they don’t give a fuck.
If you want really to catch your breath, you certainly need a hack.

HACK! BUILD! TEST! RUN!

Chorus #2
We never throw Molotov drink, unless we drink too much.
And strictly speaking, the glue-gun is the only gun we touch.
If we happen to shatter the system, we’ll pick up every piece;
Generally speaking, we’re decent chaps. We, Hackers4Peace.

They surely aren’t stupid, they also got some of us.
But now the time is coming, it gonna bite their ass.
They cannot trust each other, not even turn the back,
’cause also their own people will give them a hack

HACK! BUILD! TEST! RUN!

Chorus #3
We never loose our sense of fun, even if sometimes dumb;
We simply debug the system after the core dump.
So, bloody politician, stop acting like a whore,
or you will meet as in the dark. Us, hackers@war...
